Instead of throwing away food tins, making tool boxes out of them is inexpensive and the tins are often suitably sized for storage of nails, threading, extra buttons etc. Some thing most Pakistanis will remember from their child hood as irritating to find thread reels, buttons and needles in the sweet tins your mom's saved up.
